Playing music from our own local talent of Annette and Kim to music from around the world, From Country to easy listening and Rock & Roll from the 50’s 60’s 70’s & 80’s featuring Elvis, Frank Sinatra,Doris Day, Peter Posa, Anne Murray, Charlie Pride, Michael Buble, Kamahl and many more varied artists.

Beagle Radio was setup in 2014 by a group of people in Whangārei who listen to a lot of music, who like radio and who felt that commercial radio here was hurting our ears and minds.

We did a bunch of reading and then bought, borrowed and begged the gear we needed to start a lower power FM community radio station (thanks Buddhi for our first transmitter and aerial). We started broadcasting upstairs at The Woodshed on Riverside Drive, Trent (you bloody legend) built our website which Big Fish Creative hosted for us and Chris Anderson (Level) designed all the logos.

Based in Whangarei, Northland in New Zealand we enjoy playing a range of our favourite pop and rock, mostly from the 80s until today but with a few classic gold tracks mixed in. We hope you enjoy our blend, playing ad free 24/7.
